History of our ships

1966

Our first ship, the Reimerswaal, was a barge with a capacity of 400m3. We mainly used it on the inland waters of the Netherlands.

1980

The second Reimerswaal, which had a capacity of 800m3, was a seagoing vessel that allowed us to take on work in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

1994

The third Reimerswaal once again doubled in capacity, which greatly increased our turnaround capability.

2001

In view of the high demand for sand, we decided to have a second ship built. The result was the Orisant, with a hopper capacity of 2600m3 and an on-board de-watering system.

2008

Our company thrived, our area of operations expanded and our strategy also became more ambitious. Shortly before the economic downturn, we sold both ships and started planning the construction of new ships.

Although delays arose because of the economic situation, the new and current Reimerswaal eventually took to the water. A ship equipped with innovative systems, designed by us in-house for even higher quality, that offers a huge turnaround rate (6000m3 capacity) and enormous flexibility.

2012

The DC Orisant, our latest ship, combines high capacity (5775m3) and multi-functionality with maximum reliability. The ship features fully redundant design.

2018

Our current ships are equipped with extensive technical features to offer you an exceptionally wide range of services. We are proud of our ships and that pride is obvious everywhere you look. They are always perfectly maintained and kept trim and tidy, from the deck and wheelhouse to the sleeping berths and engine room. We see our fleet as our showpiece.
