Dynamic Positioning
Our ships are equipped with Dynamic Positioning, meaning that we can place materials on and around pipelines, cables and foundations with great accuracy. We work within a margin of just a few centimetres when placing stone and rock around the foundations of offshore wind turbines and platforms and dumping gravel over cables and pipelines.
Stabilisation, insulation and protection
Accurate placing of the materials ensures strong stabilisation of your offshore structure so that it can withstand the most extreme conditions. In the case of pipelines and cables, the perfectly placed gravel layer provides good insulation, protects against rapid erosion and, thanks to the stabilising effect, minimises displacement by strong currents.
