Flexibility. This is the main focus of the Reimerswaal, our multi-purpose ship. We can take on any assignment with this ship: dredging, ship-to-shore pumping, rainbowing, discharging (shoreface nourishment), sieving, dry discharging and rock fill deposition. And we carry out all these tasks to the highest possible levels of precision and quality. This flexibility makes us the ideal partner for any dredging job.
The Reimerswaal is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning system. This system allows us to position our ship and carry out our work with pinpoint precision. As a result, we can trench dredge and deposit rock fill for wind farms and oil platforms to an accuracy of just a few centimetres
The Reimerswaal is fitted with spud poles at the bow and stern, which can be extended down to 18 metres below the ship’s keel. Thanks to these spud poles, we can offload dry solids without a quay. Furthermore, this mooring method is faster, more flexible and safer. The spud poles can be operated by a single person from the helm controls.
An advanced bucket wheel system is used to deposit materials safely and efficiently. Thanks to an ingenious system of conveyor belts and a long shore conveyor, material can be deposited up to 48 metres outboard of the ship’s hull.
